Father/Son Shooting - Be Your Son's Shooting Coach!

The Father/Son Shooting Clinic is designed for Dad's to learn new information about what to look for in different shots, different drills, all the techniques that go into forming a proper shooting motion, how to approach coaching your kid and just about anything else you can think of regarding goal scoring and its coaching.(A good shooting motion means good stick handling and a good passing motion will have also been obtained) This will help your young player/s develop their SKILLS with proper technique every time they practice. We will share all sorts of tips and tricks that can make your son become a more effective goal scorer.

The Father/Son Shooting Clinic will encompass all the information of the "Got Rope" Program so the players will learn the techniques, but what sets this clinic apart is that we will also make sure the parents get this information along with how to practice it in the backyard with the right technique. This will make a HUGE difference in a players development from a young age. When a young player does not have the proper techniques they start forming bad habits. The bad habits only get harder to break as the players get more comfortable in their ways. This puts them behind the 8-ball from the start. Unfortunately even when parents send their kids to camps or clinics a big portion of the information given to the kids is lost. This happens partly because of the sheer amount of information; partly because it is hard for the kids to take it all in, process it and remember it on the field and lastly because when they get home they will likely revert back to their old habits and do things improperly again because it is more comfortable.

Another big problem at camps that we have counseled is the lack of individual attention. Very little if any hands on teaching is given and with out it, players can't truly grasp what is verbally explained. Once a demonstration is finished at a camp or clinic, the players are not required to use the techniques that have been explained. Players can fall between the cracks so to speak and come away from these events no better off than when they went in. This is why we want to give all the information to the parents. The adults will be able to process it better, write it down, remember it and make sure their son is using the proper techniques NOT ONLY for the few hours at a camp but in the backyard ALL THE TIME!

This is going to be partly like a coaches clinic where information about both the drills themselves and ways to use the drills to improve form is presented. We will also have a live demonstration of what proper technique looks like as well as why it is necessary. Explaining how to spot whether a player's form is good or if it needs adjustment and in what ways it should be adjusted will also be presented. The Father/Son Shooting clinic has been built to give parents the chance to help their kids become better players while making great memories and spending quality time together!
